March 23

Karen was able to get plenty of rest this morning before church.  She made it almost 2 hours and still had energy.  After church we visited a little with George and Leslie for a while.  A little later we went on a short trip to Santaquin to visit Karen's sister Jeanette and then over to the house of a co-worker of mine.  It made for a busy afternoon and Karen slept for a good portion of the drive back to Provo.

We got a visit from the bishop (and his wife) of the ward where we are staying which was very nice.  I think getting out and then having the unexpected visit made Karen feel normal even if it was only for a few hours.

In the late evening we went to visit Becca who is doing great.  You can actually see she has something more than just skin on her legs now.  She measures 16.5 inches and weighs a little over 4.75 pounds.

James is staying with Karen's brother Phil.  He went for a walk in the stroller yesterday and has been having fun playing with his cousin.  We will be able to see him again this week for his birthday.  We'll see how that goes for Karen after her chemo treatment this week.  The doctor had mentioned the possibility of adding a new drug this week based on some genetic test results from the tumor.  That is on top of having a port put in early Monday morning.  Hopefully all of that isn't too much for her.
