Our afternoon visit with Becca started with some good news from the doctor. He let us know that if Becca keeps progressing with her bottle feedings through the weekend that she may be able to go home next week. Just to prove she has a mind of her own Becca only ate about 20 milliliters. It took her a while to wake up and a lot of coxing but even after all that effort she fell asleep before she was half done with the bottle and would not wake up.
The evening visit went very well. Karen fed Becca an entire bottle, 50 milliliters, without much trouble at all. She was very awake for the visit and was even trying to eat her blanket at one point. Once Becca is released from the NICU we will stay near the hospital for about a week before heading home.
