Thanksgiving

Karen and I went out of town to visit my parents for Thanksgiving.  It was a good trip but we are both happy to be back home and able to sleep in our own bed.  The kids traveled well (as usual) sleeping for the majority of both 3 hour trips to and from home.

My entire family was able to gather at my parents for Thanksgiving.  It was a great time to catch up and spend time with them.  It was fun to see James and Rebecca with their cousins.  We avoided the Black Friday madhouse but did help my parents put up some deer fencing around their front shrubs and flower beds.  We did some clothes shopping for me and Becca on Saturday after helping to put up some outside Christmas lights.

James is busy being a great big brother to Rebecca, at least when he isn't tipping her over.  My mom was headed outside to say goodbye to one of my sisters.  James apparently thought she was taking Rebecca away and chased after her saying "No, no, no." while pointing at Becca.

Karen is recovering from the cold that has been running through our house.  I hope she recovers quickly from it as this week she has chemo.  Her last treatment was three weeks ago.  She took an extra week off to avoid a visit to the hospital on Thanksgiving to have her chemo pump removed.  This break also puts her on schedule to not have chemo the week of Christmas.
